The aim of the exhibition A1.zip at the UM Gallery of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague was to give a more comprehensive testimony of the Architecture 1 studio between 2000 and 2014, where Jakub and I studied. There is no argument about the subjectivity of this testimony: dusty models "stacked" in a multi-story walk-in shelf meet glitchy images of student projects rescued from zipped files on an old external hard drive. The project also includes the publication A1.zip, which captures the lives of the studio's alumni and alumnae in interviews, student and professional work.
