I like the combination of quick and long-term projects. This garden pavilion is one of those quick ones, serving as shade and visual object for a one-day garden party - a celebration of art. Its simple construction consists of five frames with strips of colorful fabric zigzagging between them. My design was inspired by Italian pergolas, which use the motif of interlaced fabric to screen long beach walkways.
